Our Reality in South Africa...

South Africa is the most unequal country in the world with record unemployment (time bomb).
Hunger is an increasing challenge in South Africa is increasing and spreading nationwide impacting vulnerable communities
- 30 million people are food insure.

There is food in SA: an estimated 10 million tonnes are wasted annually. Several NGOs are working hard to save this food.

More than 60% of our population is under the age of 20, thus children are vulnerable to hunger, stunting their growth and development and other health ailments.

FEEDING

Set up the 1st soap kitchen in Johannesburg downtown in 2006 as a response to severe homelessness and hunger in the area.

CHANGE

In 2018 the demand to tackle homelessness and hunger in the city increased, thus we made a decision to formalize giving to the homeless and tackling hunger with aid from the founder and his company Lionshare.

SUPPORT

In 2019 through increasing need and demand for outreach, we set up The Berea and Soweto (Naledi) Operation that we still support to date.

SO FAR

To date, we have fed over 2,427,248 meals in the year 2023, going above and beyond our 2 million meals "target" for 2023, through various contributions and efforts.
